Powering up
Powering the Origin One on and off can be done with the multifunctional power button

Turning on
Press and hold the power button for one second, and the corner signal lights will start to flash blue to indicate that the Origin One is powering up. The Origin One will now automatically start both the drive controller and the internal Linux computer.
Failure
Do not move the robot whilst it is starting up.
Shutting down
The Origin One can be shut down by pressing and holding the power button for one second. Within a few seconds, the robot signal lights will flash magenta. This will shut down the drive controller and the internal Linux computer in a safe way to prevent data corruption. The shutdown procedure is complete when the signal lights turn off completely, this process can take 30-60 seconds depending on the configuration of the robot. Furthermore, the safe shutdown procedure can only be initiated when the signal lights are not flashing blue.
Reboot
In order to reboot the Origin one, first shutdown the robot and then turn it on again. 1. Press and hold the power button for one second to initiate shutting down. 2. Wait until the Origin One is fully shutdown, the status light and display will be off. 3. Press and hold the power button for one second to initiate powering on.
Force shutdown
Only in situations where the Origin One is not responding to any input, a force shutdown is recommended. This can be done by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. The robot will then completely de-power the system without indication.
