Starting up the robot

Corresponding components: Origin Platform – Powering Up

The robot is controlled using a power button that initiates specific startup and shutdown sequences, indicated by the corner status lights.

Powering On

To turn on the robot, press the power button for one second. The following boot sequence will occur:

  1. The status lights blink blue, indicating startup has begun.
  2. The lights turn red if startup was completed and the emergency brake is engaged.
  3. The lights turn green if startup was completed and the emergency brake is disengaged.
  4. The robot’s internal computer may take up to one minute to fully boot.
  5. Once complete, the robot is ready to connect to a remote controller or external computer.

Shutting Down

To shut down the robot, press the power button for one second. The shutdown sequence is as follows:

  1. The lights blink magenta if the emergency brake is disengaged.
  2. The lights turn red if the emergency brake is engaged.
  3. The lights turn off once the robot has shut down completely.
