Avular Vertex One

Researchers worldwide struggle with implementing their state-of-the-art research onto robots that are not built for it. We have made it easy for researchers, teachers, and students to work with autonomous mobile robots through our platforms: the drone platform The Vertex One and the ground robot platform The Origin One.

The Vertex One is the perfect drone to research and develop new aerial applications with. It enables you to customize the drone as you desire, thanks to its open and accessible design. It is equipped with a Nvidia Jetson Orin NX as a high-performance onboard compute module and Avular’s in-house developed real-time flight controller. The highly customizable platform allows for installing, connecting, and configuring sensors and payloads specific to your use case.

Customize the drone platform yourself using our development guide or let us take care of this for you with the Avular Custom Solutions Services.

Key features of Vertex One

  • A powerful onboard computing module (NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX) is programmable in Linux (ROS 2) to allow for custom applications running on the robot itself
  • Mounting interfaces, range of GPIOs, USB 3.2 and 1Gb/s Ethernet allowing for additional sensors and payloads
  • Foldable arms drastically reducing the Vertex’s size for transportation
  • Separable PowerPack such that the drone is allowed for transport in aircraft hand-luggage
  • Range of payloads and auxiliaries available, including Avular Stellar RTK-GNSS system, Visual and Depth Camera payloads
  • Access to Cerebra Software Suite for live data visualization, accessing log files, parameter tuning, etc
  • Project-based support of external hardware integration is available upon request
