Sensor Glass Check & Cleaning
Maintenance Indication
To avoid potential issues with unreliable readout of the bottom-facing sensors, check visually that the bottom-facing sensors cover glass is clean before every flight:
Make sure there are no visible damages, e.g. scratches, cracks. In such a case, please contact Avular's support for further assistance.
If dust or dirt is present, follow one of the procedures below to resolve it.
Cleaning - Outside
While cleaning the bottom-facing sensors cover glass, pay attention to work carefully not to damage (e.g. scratch, crack) the cover glass.
- Gently blow off any excess particles using pressurized air
- Use microfiber glass cleaning cloth to wipe the glass surface clean
Cleaning - Inside
In the rare case there are particles on the bottom-facing sensors cover glass or the sensors themselves, following steps need to be performed.
- Remove the PowerPack

Remove the battery frame. To gain access, use a Torx-6 screwdriver to loosen 12 x ISO14581 M2x14 screws shown in the image below. (See left picture for Gen3 and right for Gen4 )

Gently blow off any excess particles from the cover glass and the sensors using pressurized air
- Use microfiber glass cleaning cloth to wipe the glass surface clean
- Assemble back together by tightening 12 x ISO14581 M2x14 screws
